A brain for AI agents that learns from their mistakes

Ten modules around every prompt you send to Claude Code: they size the task, bring the rules it needs, pick the team and count what it costs.

Who stands around your prompt

Each module is one character with one job. Together they turn a message to Claude Code into a clear, checked and counted piece of work.

Efficiency check

Does it really save? Measure it

The same small tasks run twice through claude -p: once as bare Claude Code, once with Argoforge and its working hypotheses. Each task's own test decides whether it is solved. The numbers are shown as they come out — better or worse.

2 tasks × 2 runs on your Mac through your own claude -p, at most $1. The Argoforge app asks you first.

Nexus · a real run

A weak prompt in — a clear task out

Nexus does not rewrite what you type: it adds the context the task needs, and your own Claude opens its answer with a task card. Below are real runs, recorded as they went — nothing written by hand.

    The problem

An agent without a harness starts from scratch every time

The model writes code well. Everything around it gets lost: what was decided yesterday, what went wrong last time, which rules matter right now.

    Corrections don't outlive the session

You corrected the agent, it agreed — and tomorrow it does the same thing again.

    Rules don't get through

A long instructions file costs tokens on every request, and a subagent never sees it.

    "Done" without a check

"Tests pass" without a run, a reference to a line that doesn't exist, "there's no such thing" after a single search.

The team is picked by hand

Hundreds of agents and thousands of skills in catalogs — you decide whom to call for this task.

    How it works

Four steps closed into a loop

After every session Argoforge works out what went wrong, and the next piece of work starts already knowing it.

    1. 01

      Observe

      Argus

Reviews sessions on your Mac: a call repeated after a denial, a failing command run again, "done" with no check behind it.

    2. 02

      Learn

      Mnemosyne

Tells a pattern from an accident: a finding is decided only once it shows up in a second session (a serious one at once). It becomes a rule when you accept it — or, in auto mode, when your own Claude decides on your Mac. Any decision can be undone.

    3. 03

      Apply

      Hestia · Kairos

A rule arrives only in the turn it concerns. Kairos shows what each turn costs.

    4. 04

      Assemble the team

      Nexus · Legion

Every task is sized first. A medium or large one gets a card — the goal and the items — a team from your project's pick and a plan; a large one first gets three options to choose from.

    Setup

Three steps to the first hint

    1. 1

      Create an account

Email and password. The server sets up a brain of your own and issues a key — it is shown only once.

    2. 2

      Install the app

Download it in your account once a plan is active, drag it into Applications and open it — a sail appears in the menu bar. Paste the key — done.

      Open your account
    3. 3

      Work as usual

You write in Claude Code — Argoforge adds the right rules to the turn. If the server is unreachable, the agent simply works without them.

Your CLAUDE.md, rules, agents and skills stay with you — the server never writes to them.

    Pricing

Three plans — during the beta all of them are free

Prices are a guide for after the beta. During the beta every account gets everything that already works, whatever the plan. Each plan lists everything it includes; what the plan adds over the previous one is marked "new".

    FAQ

    The essentials, briefly

    What goes to the server?

The message text with code blocks, file paths and keys removed, a random project number, numbers about the work (tokens, time, errors, the model's name) and, for the check at the end of a turn, the cleaned beginning and end of the answer. The server processes these in memory and does not keep them. Code, project files and session history stay on your Mac; what Argoforge finds in a session reaches the server as a suggested rule, with its evidence encrypted by your Mac's key. More on the "Your data" page.

What happens if my plan ends, or I want to start over or delete my account?

During the beta the end of a plan changes nothing: every account gets everything that works (what an ended plan switches off after the beta is not decided yet). To start over and keep the account, use the reset on Lethe's page in the app — it shows what it will remove before it does. Deleting the account erases it and its server brain; the app then adds nothing, and Claude Code works on your own settings. Local files are not touched.

Do I need Node, Python or another model?

No. Argoforge is a small menu bar app; the model, subscription and Claude Code key stay yours. Its own analyses — the session review, the decisions on findings, the team pick — run on your Claude Code (claude -p) under your subscription. You need macOS 13+ and Claude Code.

How do I turn it off or remove it?

The switch in the menu turns Argoforge off from the next prompt — Claude Code runs on your settings. "Remove Argoforge…" in the menu takes its hooks out of ~/.claude/settings.json, switches your own setup back on, deletes its files and the app itself. If you just drag the app to the Trash, the hooks silently stop firing; if Argoforge mode was on, run ~/.argoforge/restore.sh to switch your own CLAUDE.md, agents and skills back on.

It's a beta — what do you need from me?

Work for a week as usual and tell us where the hints helped and where they got in the way. Pro is free during the beta.
